I thought it intresting how keenly he tied feelings with opinion and authority. We have come to the point in our cultural thinking where rational thinking is no longer credible enough for the "important stuff" of life. Emotions, or subconcious feeling and presuppositional opinnion, are all that is left to base life upon in our reductionist post-modern society. I find it even more keen that they did not respond with a rationalistic perspective but still placed the feelings or heart at the center. They looked at it and said "Deceitful and sadly mistaken".
Hello Todd, I was "googling" the words to "Jesus, Friend of Sinners", and I happened upon your blog. This is crazy, because I actually go to CrossWay Community Church here in Wisconsin, and saw that "Jeff" had posted something. Just was curious who Jeff was. You can find me on F/B ---Gin Hayes
Hi Gin, I don't know Jeff. I think he must have landed on Jesus, Friend of Sinners like you did. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a message. Wish I could help you more!
